What A Day...

So this is the cute outfit I left the house in this morning, it was pouring rain but I had my trusty umbrella. Unfortunatly about 3/4 of the way to the bus station a school bus drove past me and splashed me from waist down! I turned around, went home, put on my rubber boots and some jeans and drove down to catch the next bus. Unfortunatly now my Ipod isn't working properly...ugh what a crappy morning. I ended up being 10 minutes late for class and in a bad mood. Fortunatly my friend drove me home from school after classes, I had a snack, went to the gym and felt better.

I went out for dinner with my mom and my godmother this evening to a fantastic thai resteraunt, we gorged ourselves on pad thai and spicy curries it was fantastic and restored my mood completely. Amazing what some excercise and tasty food will do for you! I really like this dress, it's got a higher waistline than I'm used to, but I could not say no to the floral print. And my tights are zebra print, soo sweet!

White Hot

First of all: My hair is no longer brown and pink :O!!! I had kept my hair like that for years, literally over 2 years. It was time for a change!! It is now a lovely purplish red shade that I adore. Thank goodness for godmother's who do one's hair for free! And do a good job I must add!

Second off: It is finally hot out here! As i type this from my deck it is 25 degrees out and it hasn't been this warm since middle/end of august! I am enjoying it considering I didn't get to wear my summer dresses very much this summer. This is one of my favorite summer dress, I love the 50's type retro feel to it. And whats not to love about the print? I got several compliments on it today, which is always nice. It was funny because it was mostly from my male friends, hmm. Slightly odd, but perfectly fine by me

Oh did I mention? My necklace....it's a spoon. Yeah a spooon. I love finding random treasures at the farmers market!! Anyways after handing out several resumes, I have gotten myself a job interview! So I am off, hopefully by the end of this week I will be employe. I'm hoping I will get a job where I can hang out in the evenings and study, or else this year may be a little more challenging than it already is

Hello Cowgirl In the Sand

I'm not exactly certain why when I set these images on large, they still come out smaller than I want and somehow grainier? Anyways, this is what I wore to school yesterday, I came home, took these pictures in about 5-10 mins and then had to go start writing a paper, then gym, then go with my boyfriend to get his Iphone fixed, so it was a crazy day. Hence why I'm posting them now, I don't have class for a few hours now. I really liked this outfit but my boyfriend said I looked like "someone out of a 1980's whitney houston music video" now I don't know about you, but I didn't really take this as a compliment...Sometimes men just don't get it. I felt good in this outfit, it's fun. I adore this belt but it's a wee bit too tight which is why I don't end up wearing it too much. This is one of my new skirts too, I frickin love the print of it. I was planning on wearing different shoes, but when I left it was goddamn cold. It was also real chilly as I took these pictures

Happy monday

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, I most certainly did! It was nicer friday/saturday than it had been lately (about 12 degrees, if one want's to call this "nice")

• I had my first pint friday since my surgery, a crisp, cold, Richard's White. Delicious. And drunken...yeah after one pint, that's what happens when you don't drink for 4 and a half weeks....

• My mom did good on her promise to take me shopping for my birthday after I was more healed from my surgery. We hit up forever XXI, and Urban Outfitters, as well as a few others but that's where I found the most deals. 2 dresses half off at Urban, and one top half off (I am a bargain shopper no matter what). Got a bunch of sweaters/tops and a dress at forever (INCLUDING A BUNNY SWEATER! yeah I'm excited, it's the cosiest thing in the world). I am excited planning outfits for school

• Went and saw "the town" saturday, and I was impressed, Ben Affleck you have redeemed yourself. I like him as a director quite a bit actually (Gone Baby Gone, and The Town), we polished off the night by going bowling!

• Sunday was boring, I studied my bum off, but then got to go to the gym for the first time since my surgery!! It was glorious, I missed it so. I worked my arms (starting back at light weights 7-10lbs) and my legs, biking, leg press etc. My bum/thighs/arms are now sore and it is glorious!!

Anyways, today it's been rainy and shitastic as usual, but the end of the week is looking up weatherwise!

Leaves are fallin

First of all, I went to take some outfit pictures two days ago and went to feed my rabbit and I noticed he couldn't see out of his eyes. They were crusty and leaky, so I brought him to the vet where they flushed out his eyes, but now he needs to get his teeth trimmed down, so $600 dollars later he will be all better. Pooor smokey.

Today it was -2 degrees when I left for school! So goddamn cold, I was all bundled up in my new coat along with all my other layers just to keep me warm.

Back to school

It's monday....and I went back to school! I am happy to be back, classes are looking good this term, I am taking some interesting psychology classes (Clinical psychology, psychology of psychometrics, and developmental psychology). I'm nervous and excited, it's going to be a lot of work but it's my last year! I'm still not 100% physically but everyday is better than the last. The weather here has gone crazy, usually september is still a fairly warm month and is lovely but it is cold and getting colder! It was only 5 degrees when I left for the bus this morning!! Absolutly ridiculous. So yesterday I went and bought a nice new warm coat. So, I kind of like the way the horizontal photos look. Hmmm, maybe I'll be switching it up! Oh and my wonderful friends and boyfriend suprised me last night. Bryce and I were going out for dinner and when we got to the resteraunt there was 8 of my friends waiting there for me!! My friend Nickie said she decided to do this because I had such a terrible summer and crappy surgeries, awww. I love them all!! My new coat! It's so soft and nice. I love the shape and colour of it. Brrrrr, so chilly!

Another rainy fall day, the weather has been shittty and I have been recovering from my surgery. I went for a long walk this day and had to wear warm clothes because it was cold and very rainy. The weather is kind of depressing and makes me very excited to go back to school. I go back tomorrow!! Everyone went back on wedensday but I needed a few extra days of recovery. I got the dark brown boots I'm wearing right before my surgery from a vintage store and they're looovely. I wish this coat fit better but, it's really old and works. Anyway's I must go prepare to go back to class tomorrow! Oh and it was too rainy to take outdoor pictures and yes I am in the bathroom in these photos...

Battle wounds round 2

Here are some photos of my newest battle wounds to add to my collection. I had the staples removed on monday and I feel much better and more mobile now that I no longer have them. Im no longer walking like an 80 year old (more like a 60yr old...) I've had lots of lovely visitors and my family has been great getting things for me if I need them. I went out for dinner last night actually with two of my best female friends who are both moving at the end of the week, one to BC and the other to Calgary both for school. I will miss them a lot, but it was nice to have dinner together one more time! Anyways here are my battle scars, and I look forward to how ridiculous I'm going to look in a bikini now....
