Against the Seasons

Hey There loves, I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I felt a bit under the weather, but wine + cheese with two of my best gals on Friday followed by a living room dance party made me feel loads better. My friends and I are way cool, obviously.

I somehow find I wear florals more in fall and winter then I do in summer, probably because in summer I'm surrounded by flowers and in winter I am surrounded by cold, white snow. Therefore I need to cheer myself up by wearing flowers. This one is quickly working it's way into my rotation, I love all the colours in it and the fact that it's a baby doll style. I am all about comfort these days, I really will not wear something unless it's super comfortable. But these pieces all make it easy to combine style and comfort

The Eternal Wanderer

Hey There m'loves, I hope your week is coming along swimmingly. Mine has been good, I've just been so tired though. I guess that's what happens when you're in school full time, work part time and blog. Oh and keep up with an adorable pup named Mr.Duke. I shouldn't complain too much, I really love being busy, because I'm a freak.

This "Wander Eternal" skeleton tank from the Weekend Society is quickly becoming my favourite casual piece. I love me anything with a skeleton or skull on it (must be my teenage angst bubbling to the surface) and the weekend society's pieces always remind me to look for adventure. I decided to style it in the typical Canadian fashion with a plaid button down, some ripped denim and my khaki jacket. All this snow has me aching for a weekend away in the Rockies! If you've never been to Banff or Jasper, you must put in on your bucket list, I'm lucky enough to live quite close.

Indian Summer

Good Morning my dears! I hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend. It's been a shorter week, but it's felt like a really long one. It's all good things though! And there's a football game this evening, Go eskimos! I am well aware at this point in the season it seems like a lost cause, but green and gold all the way.

This white lace dress is definitely becoming a useful piece in my wardrobe, it's so comfortable and easy to wear. It's been so hot here this week, but this dress was a no brainer to throw on and the denim jacket is perfect in the morning and evening when it's a little crisper. The best thing about a LWD (little white dress) is that it's the perfect blank slate for accessories, like this chevron clutch. Easily one of my favourite purses :)

Key Party

Good Morning Lovers, I hope your week is going very well and that you had an awesome weekend! Mine was really relaxing, which was much needed after the week I had last week. This one is going much better, and Mr.Duke seems to be getting back to his old self, which makes me ridiculously happy to see.

This key print dress is definitely one of my "go-to's" for summertime, I got it last summer and fell in love with how comfortable it is, the fact that it has pockets and the fit of it. It's so easy for layering and when it's really hot out is the perfect thing to just throw on and go! I decided to wear it with my blazer, and studded belt for a day at school and then out with friends. It was kind of a no brainer that I'd wear my new key necklace from the Weekend Society with my key print dress too ;)

Taking the Weekend By Storm

Hey There Loves, It's friday!! I hope everyone's looking forward to the weekend as much as I am, it's the long weekend here and it is muchly needed because this has been a crazy week. It's bound to be a crazy weekend with the blogger sale tomorrow and then my friends Mad Men party, but I'm pretty excited about all of that!

What better way to embrace the weekend than by wearing my Weekend Society tank? This is literally the most comfortable tank top I own, and I love the quote on it; it says "Those who wander are not always rootless". What a wonderful sentiment, and the idea behind the society is to go on adventures, take on new experience and make the most of the weekend and I am planning on doing just that! I love the way it mixed with my polka dot skirt and neon purse. The perfect casual look to take the weekend by storm.

Shedding Skins

Good Morning!! I hope everyone's week is coming along nicely, mine has been super busy! I was on breakfast TV yesterday morning talking about spring and summer fashion with fellow bloggers Janis, Sandy and Zoe. It was a lot of fun and I posted the video yesterday if you wanted to take a look.

I have been absolutely soaking in the summer-like weather we've been having over the last week, and good thing I did because we have rain in the forecast. It was definitely nice to bust out my summer dresses and strip off the million layers I have been bundled in for the majority of the last 6 months. I'm sure it seems scandalous to see me showing so much skin now. It was pretty hot out this day and I knew immediately this dress I bought from Zara would be the perfect piece, it's great on it's own because of the crazy print and all the colours. I decided to pair it with this beautiful mint purse and loads of jewellery for an easy summer look

Those Who Wander

Hey there loves, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was great, filled with some quality time with my pup, lots of adventures with friends at the indoor waterpark, and celebrating my good friend Cowie's birthday!

This is a casual look that I wore on my day off to run around, do errands, have a lunch date with friends etc. I was contacted by The Weekend Society about their clothing line and knew I was interested immediately. Everyone needs good quality casual clothes and better yet their stuff has a great message behind it. The piece I chose is not only incredibly comfortable but I love that it says "Those who wander are not always rootless"

For the past year I have been opening myself up to having more spontaneity in my life, I am a planner and always have been but that sometimes leads me to be a bit rigid. Allowing myself to say yes to opportunities I normally wouldn't and taking on more adventures has really taught me a lot and I've had some great experiences. The timing to collaborate with these guys couldn't have been better and their message really speaks to the side of myself I'm spending time cultivating right now.
