Winter of Mixed Drinks

I absolutely love being part of Flock Together and being able to raid these amazingly stylish girls wardrobes. This dress from Jen came at the perfect time for my best friends Lana Del Ray themed birthday party, it has a cut out in the back and has a great fit and flare shape.

 I loved the way the dark blue, black and maroon looked together. I somehow have no navy in my wardrobe and I now believe that is a grave injustice that needs to corrected ASAP. This dress was actually really hard to send onto the next girl because I fell so hard for it. I went ultra glamour with my high high high heels, Jcrew bling and bold leather jacket for the party. I must say it is awesome to take a break from the everyday and get all dolled up with friends.

And no, I don't have my own personal wind machine, but the wind happened to be working with me this day ;)

A Few of My Favourite Things

So here I am again, wearing pants. It crazy how I spent almost all of last year and the one before that avoiding wearing jeans or pants of most kind. When I finally found a pair of jeans that I liked this past summer everything kind of switched for me. And when I picked up these high waisted leggings from Zara I questioned how I had lived without them for so long!
Not only are they incredibly comfortable, they're easy to dress up or down. Pieces that are versatile are without a doubt worth an investment! Paired simply with a grey long sleeve, my favourite two tone leather jacket, I added a pop of colour with this necklace.

What Are You Doing New Years Eve

Good Morning dawwwlings, do you all have fabulous plans for this new years eve?! I am going to my best friends house for a party where we're going to dress up in sparkles and drink some champagne cocktails. I am not a fan of going out for NYE, I have several times in the past and it's just over crowded and expensive!

This is what I plan on wearing for our fancy night in, sometimes it's fun to get all dolled up just to hang out with friends. For some odd reason this top hasn't made it onto this blog even though I got it half off online last boxing day. I knew it would be the perfect bit of glitter to wear for the party and I never pass up an opportunity to wear this sheer mustard number. I added a bit of leather, faux fur for some glamour and edge and I'm all set to welcome in 2014! Now where's my bubbly?!

Bundled Up

Good Morning my loves, it's gone from being +1 to -20 yet again here in the great white north. It's unfortunate but that tends to happen here quite a bit, and you have to enjoy the good while you've got it. Layering is a key component to living in this ridiculous winter wonderland.

This outfit is essentially my go-to colour palette these past few months, I can't seem to get enough of this combination. And ya know what? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This dress is a recent rediscovery during a cleanse of my closet and it's a wonderful piece to layer with a sweater, jacket and giant scarf that doubles as a blanket. Ever since last year I've become more obsessed with watches than ever before and was more than happy to expand my colour with this bracelet watch from Born Pretty. I love the way it wraps around and the studded details.

Bang for my Buck

Good Morning and a very very happy Friday to you all!! It's been a very busy week with Western Canada's Fashion Week wrapping up and projects being due, so I'm pretty excited for the weekend. I need some R & R (and not just the rye) how about you?

This is what I wore out to the fashion show on Tuesday evening, which was a much needed break from school. I am so obsessed with this jacket I got for fall, it goes with everything I own. I think it was a worthwhile purchase! This dress was a big favorite from spring/summer, polka dots are always such a fun pattern and I was happy to be able to transition this piece into fall. I am definitely one of those people who want to get the most bang for my buck ;)

Two Toned

Good Morning loves, I hope your week is moving along. I can't believe it's only Wednesday, I feel like I've had a whole weeks worth of things going on in the past two days. I guess that's the student life again.

It hasn't really felt like fall around here, except for last Saturday when the temperatures dropped and it was rainy. I was actually excited because it meant I could finally bust out my new leather jacket. I've had my eye on this baby for a while but it had been too sweltering to even think of wearing a jacket. I couldn't resist the fact that it's two toned! I am really digging the combination of grey, burgundy and black for fall, and I bet you'll be seeing more of it around here.

Something about a very sweet, super girly piece that I just want to add some "grunge" to it. They go together perfectly in my mind, a definite lady and the tramp situation ;)

 

Sweet Spring

Good Morning Loves!! I spent last night sorting some stuff for the blogger sale this coming weekend and I have to say I'm looking forward to it. It's nice to be able to get rid of some stuff and clean out some space. Going through my clothes really reminded me that I do not need to be shopping and therefore I am claiming to all my beautiful readers I am on a shopping ban until the end of June. There's an exception that I do need a pair of sandals (I only have 2 pairs of falling apart ones!) but I'm going to try to budget that smartly.

This is an outfit I put together for a night out with friends, I got this simple summer dress last year and it's a go-to for me on really hot days because it's so lightweight and wonderful. I decided to try to dress it up a bit with these comfy strappy heels, my leather jacket and this awesome envelope clutch. I found this clutch at winners and could not resist it, the chevron print and colours are perfect for summer. Such a fun piece for a night out, I especially love that it has a handle. Also this dress, the print is tiny hearts and it has pockets, doesn't get better than that!!

Casual Sunday

Hey Loves! I hope you are enjoying your sunday, I am going to spend my day with my main man Mr. Duke, do some cleaning and play soccer! I love having days to just chill and not do a whole lot other han cuddle my pup.

I bought this top back at the end of the summer and really love it, it's light, comfortable and has heart print!! Paired with my leather jacket, skinny jeans and studded boots it was the perfect outfit for a casual sunday. It's hard to mix comfort with style sometimes but this outfit balanced the two for me!

Biker Babe

Good Morning Loves! I hope you had an absolutely wonderful weekend. Mine was really good, lots of fun spent with good friends! It seems that a lot of my good friends have their birthdays close together, we have more celebrations coming up this weekend. This one is going to be Great Gatsby themed, I'm excited to find a costume! Any ideas??

  This is something I wore out with my friends this weekend, I don't often go to bars or clubs, I am much more a pub girl, so I'm always kind of at a loss at what to wear when we do go out. I knew I wanted to be comfortable though, which is almost always my main goal. This gold skirt with pockets is perfect for that, it's stretchy and the bit of shimmer to it makes it seem less casual. I got this tee from Zara on sale a little while ago, and the lace back detail is perfect for going out, it adds a bit of visual interest and texture to the look.
