Savouring Summer

Hey There my darlings, I hope your week is coming along nicely, mine has been pretty good and I have today off! It's absolutely gorgeous today, nice, warm and sunny. With our summer winding down (the leaves are turning already!) I want to soak up every last ounce of nice weather.

This LWD is the perfect one for summer, the lace overlay on the top is really gorgeous and its such a nice, light material. AND it was half off from Vero Moda, which is probably a good thing because white is a dangerous colour for me to own. I most certainly dropped a beet from my salad on it at lunch this day....but luckily the stain came out. I'm just incredibly uncoordinated!

It was a bit too bright out, but I couldn't resist this grafitti'd wall as my backdrop, it's so bright and funky

Hey There, another remix post! I purchased this white lace dress in October and have worn it several times in many different ways and it's led me to believe every girl should have a LWD in her rotation. I love that this one has sleeves and is made of lace. It's a great piece to layer under blazers, cozy sweaters and my leather jacket, and is the perfect blank canvas for pops of colour and loads of accessorizing. However, when I styled it this spring, I noticed it is definitely on the short side. I have that problem with some dresses and skirts I purchase during the colder months, because my legs are always wrapped up in layers of tights I never seem to worry about length. But as soon as I have to peel those tights off I seem to realize I can't bend over! I still really love this dress, and who really needs to bend over anyways?

Flower in the Sun

Good Morning Lovelies! I hope your week is going well, mine started off a little rough, I think I had a touch of the flu on monday but I am feeling much better now! It kind of forced me to take a day to do nothing but hang out with Duke and watch movies, and I guess that's just what I needed.

I bought this dress back in October and it has been such a versatile and wonderful piece in my wardrobe. I can't help but love the combination of the super girly lace dress with my studded denim vest. This vest is easily my favourite purchase of this summer! The only problem with this dress is it's a wee bit on the short side, no wind/sudden movements in this number. It's fine when I'm wearing tights but sans tights it felt a bit more on the scandelous side. That seems to always happen with the things I purchase during the colder months! Although the versatility of a little white dress is quite wonderful, I think I need another more summertime appropriate ;)

Oh, Winterlong

Hey There darlings!! I hope your week is coming along nicely, mine definitely is besides the weather. It's been winter here since mid October and frankly I'm over it. However it's supposed to be ridiculously nice this weekend so I don't have to wait long for nice weather :) Oh, also realized I'm going back to University on Monday, that's pretty crazy. I honestly am excited, I've missed it! Because I'm a masochist, obviously.

 I was luckily smart enough to take these photos  in the morning on Monday when it was barely snowing because the weather got craaaazy. This is what I wore out for my mom's birthday dinner, we took her to Sorrentino's for the Garlic fest. My brother tried the Garlic beer and I must say, it was pretty overpowering and not great.  I really love this lace mint dress, but I want it to be warmer to I can wear it without a jacket, the lower back is such a great detail on it. I love the combination of mint and red, and will defnitely be doing more of that this spring and summer.

The Change Up

Hey there and happy monday lovelies! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are ready for the week ahead. I have a bit of a cold and sound like a really sexy 90 year old smoker, but it's nothing the gym, tea and cough syrup can't handle! Oh, and of couse Duke snuggles, those cure everything that ails you.

Finally heart month is over and I'm not confined to a certain section of my wardrobe. Although I am still reaching for the red because it's one of my favorite colours. But, this purple lace dress was a wonderful departure from all the red I've been wearing. I decided to pair it with brown accessories and this wonderful mushroom coloured jacket I forgot I owned! I love finding spring jackets when cleaning :) Now if only spring would come along, kindly sod off winter!

My Furry Valentine

Good Afternoon and a happy friday to all you lovers in blogland. I hope everyone enjoyed their "heart day" yesterday, mine was perfect, had dinner with the famjam, yoga, then a glass of wine and a bubble bath followed by puppydog cuddles. And why yes, I am 80 years old, thank you for noticing :) Mr.Duke was my Valentine this year, and I'm sure he always will be, So of course I had to do take some photos with my "Furry" Valentine!

So let me start off by saying how difficult it is to lug a tripod around the block, set it up, and carry a 25 lb pup back and forth while trying to smile, get him to look at the camera and ignore the stares from the mail carrier. But it was all worth it, because Mr.Duke looks handsome as ever and I really liked this outfit. This little white lace dress has gotten some good use out of it over the past couple months and was perfect with these heart print tights I've been saving since September for heart month! Good thing I saved them too, because the feet already have holes in them...I'm so hard on tights. I am super into mixing red and blush/light pink, it feels springy and is perfect for heart month

Good Morning Loves! I hope your week is moving along nicely, I'm pretty happy it's already wednesday. I feel like this week has been zooming by, which is a good thing because it brings us that much closer to spring! I am so over snow, cloudy skies and being cold. I miss taking the Dukster for walks that last a couple hours!

Giving me a day off is a risky business, especially when I'm trying to save money, I seem to be unable to stick to a ban lately. I picked up this pretty rose print lace dress from winner's for only $20, so at least if I'm shopping I'm still getting a good deal, right?! I paired it with my red jacket and doubled up on heart necklaces to make it heartmonth appropriate. I've had this jacket for years and year but it still makes it's way into rotation. The red always makes me happy and ready for warmer days

Hey there Loves!! I hope your week went by quickly,I am super excited for the weekend. I'm getting a haircut and two of my best friends have their birthday on Saturday night, so it's shaping up to be a good weekend.

I got this dress as part of my U.O. package that I got on boxing day, and I love it. It's so goddamn comfortable!! I don't think I own anything else in this colour, plus it's lace, and one can never have too many lace dresses....right? I think it`s the perfect colour for spring and I actually liked it with my red hair. This skull scarf and my black cropped blazer were perfect for work the other day.

Good Morning Lovelies!! I hope you are all set for the weekend, I am most definitely, it's freezing cold here, we got a shit ton of snow the other day and I've had a couple doctors appointments all week. Boo Hiss. Not my favorite way to spend a chilly week, although I was able to get a hair cut/colour yesterday so that always brightens the mood. Besides my Godmother is my hair dresser and she's the best
I pinned an outfit on pinterest a few months ago involved a white dress and orange cardigan and have been meaning to recreate it myself! And obviously it was going to be a white lace dress, because I now have two...God I am so addicted to lace dresses. This one has a cut out in the back! Ah! Combination of two of my favorite things!! I really liked it combined with this pumpkiney cardigan actually.
