Got my Red Dress on Tonight

Good Morning loves!! I hope you all had an absolutely amazing Christmas eve/day spent with friends and family. Ours was super chill, just the 4 of us here, skyping my brother in Vancouver on Christmas morning and eating WAY too much Christmas eve. It's always wonderful to spend quality time with the family!

This holiday season was jam packed with Christmas parties with friends/coworkers and that calls for getting all dolled up. It's always nice to a few pieces that are great for dressier occasions. Like this little red dress, I've only worn it once or twice before but it's something that is perfect to dress up. It was my go-to for my annual Christmas party with friends. Since it happened to be freezing cold though, I was to bust out this wonderful plaid coat and my faux fur stole.

Winter Whites

Greeting's my loves from the great white north. And when I say white, I mean snowy! It's absolutely freezing this week too, the high for tomorrow is -25 Celsius...I can't even deal, that's too chilly!! I guess I'll be wearing every pair of tights I own and 18 sweaters just so I don't freeze on the way to school.

The upside to all this snow is how beautiful it looks, it is definitely putting me in the Christmas spirit. I am ready for my finals to be over so I can do some gift shopping and get ready for all the parties coming up. This dress is such a perfect piece for the upcoming holiday season, I love whites for winter (even though I'm a spilly bitch and can never keep them clean) There's something really romantic about this one with the lace sleeves and chiffon bottom. I couldn't help but pair it with my cozy faux fur collar and these suspender tights. And a bold red lip never hurt for the holiday season ;)

All Hallows' Eve

Good Morning and Happy Halloween m'dears!! Do you all have super exciting plans for this hallows eve? I plan on getting cozy on the couch with my duke, some candy and watching Hocus Pocus while I hand out candy to the cute little trick or treat'ers. And I couldn't be more excited!

We awoke Sunday morning to a VERY scary sight outside. Snow!! The first of the season (and definitely not the last) it's since melted but before it did I knew I had to get some spooktacular photos in! Nothing screams Halloween more to me than orange, black, white and cats!! So I paired my very favourite kitty dress with my orange sweater and faux fur stole, so I was not only dressed for the occasion but perfectly cozy in the chilly temperatures. Mr.Duke and my Pumpkin even had to join in on the fun ;)

Baby, it's cold outside

Greetings from the Arctic that is Edmonton right now. We are experiencing a deep freeze at the moment, and I am not impressed, -29 and with the wind chill -40. What. The. Hell. But by the weekend it's going to be +1, Ah Alberta, how you like to keep me on my toes. I spent yesterday huddled in blankets cuddling a very cute puppydog though!

I took these photos prefreeze and prehaircut, so don't worry, I didn't die in the cold. Doing the remix post last Thursday reminded me of this skirt and how awesome it is. I decided to pair it with my denim button up, and fur stole, a couple pops of colour and I was really happy with this look. It's a very classic combination, I felt stylish, comfortable and warm. It's nice to get extra wear out of older pieces, because this shopping ban is frustrating me, especially with Heart Month coming up!!

Tis The Season

Good Morning! It's Friday and I am ready for the weekend, I have an awesome Christmas gathering with my friends this Saturday and I am so excited. There's nothing better then getting together with awesome friends, eating great food, drinking and exchanging some gifts. I hope everyone else has some exciting plans for the weekend.
I really love getting dressed up for the holidays, there's something so fun about this time of year. This is something I wore out for a family gathering earlier in the week. Velvet is something perfect for the holidays, because it's cold as hell here and velvet is nice and warm. I paired it with some polka dot tights (which I quickly tore, of course), some high heels and my cozy fur stole. With Mr. Duke as my date I was set for an evening out

Take A Walk

 

Good Morning! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't believe how soon Christmas is, it's kind of nuts. I only have a teeny bit of shopping left, just a couple fun little things to add to everyone's gift. My older brother isn't coming home this year which sucks but we're putting together a care package for him, so I need to get him something ridiculous to make him laugh. 

Since I died my hair I've been trying out more subtle colour combinations, I loved this combination of blue, brown and pops of red. This dress has transitioned so well over the past 3 years, I find myself reaching for it over and over again. This time it was perfect to layer underneath this cozy sweater with my faux fur stole for an extra bit of warmth. A bit of texture with my spotted tights and I was set.

Ghost Man on Third

Good Morning and Happy Friday to you!! I hope your weekend is looking good, mine should be, I'm going to try to relax and hang out. ALSO, my little brother is turning 18!! I can barely believe it, it freaks me out and makes me feel old. It feels like just yesterday I was crying at the hospital because I didn't want another brother...Haha, I grew to love him obviously.

 I wore this outfit to work, I bought the lace dress while I was out in Vancouver, I must say I fell in love with the colour of it! I feel like I have a bit of a lace dress obsession, I think this is like my 5th or 6th, they're all in different colours though!! There's just something about a lace dress. I decided to pair it with my cropped blazer and fur stole because it's been chilly. Another obsession of mine right now is this leaf pendant I picked up at the Granville Island Market, it's such a gorgeous piece, and somewhat heart shaped.
