Bundled Up

Good Morning my loves, it's gone from being +1 to -20 yet again here in the great white north. It's unfortunate but that tends to happen here quite a bit, and you have to enjoy the good while you've got it. Layering is a key component to living in this ridiculous winter wonderland.

This outfit is essentially my go-to colour palette these past few months, I can't seem to get enough of this combination. And ya know what? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This dress is a recent rediscovery during a cleanse of my closet and it's a wonderful piece to layer with a sweater, jacket and giant scarf that doubles as a blanket. Ever since last year I've become more obsessed with watches than ever before and was more than happy to expand my colour with this bracelet watch from Born Pretty. I love the way it wraps around and the studded details.

Light Headed

I, like most other Edmontonians have been avoiding going outside at all costs this past week or so. With the temperatures dipping WELL below freezing the last little while and all the snow I have been very ambivalent to getting a lot done. That goes with blogging too, besides that, the sun sets at around 3pm these days! Serious blogger problems...

So, I keep saying I'm going to grow my hair out and then I go to the hairdressers and I say "take it all off". I suppose I've become lazy now, because it's sooo easy to do! But we added more red just in the time for the holidays ;) I definitely had to take advantage of the weather once it got a little bit warmer out, shedding my tons of coats and sweaters. And by warmer I mean only -7 compared to -25 degrees.I adore this striped onsie, and love how it looks paired with this rust skirt and topped off with this denim vest. This piece was such a great lightweight piece for summer, and is perfect for topping off any layered look now that it's winter.

On Fire

Good Morning m'dears! I hope your week is coming along quite nicely, mines been busy but good. I can't tell you how much I love this time of year, it's absolutely gorgeous with the leaves changing colours. Even when I'm really stressed about school, going for a walk and enjoying this season can really make me feel so lucky. That and pumpkin flavoured lattes...

This tree is the only one on our street that is completely red, so I couldn't resist getting some shots of it all changed over. It also happens to perfectly match my hair right now, happy accident! I loved the contrast with my black and white striped dress; this piece is so perfectly lightweight and comfortable. Easy enough to throw a denim jacket on top of it and go for a walk!

Style and Comfort

Good Morning and a very happy Monday to you all!! I had a wonderful weekend spent chilling, working on projects and getting over this cold that turned my voice into that of a man's. It's nice to have my voice back and no longer sound like I've been smokin' a pack a day since 1954....sexy I know. 

If I could I would probably wear my maxi dress/skirts every single day because they're so comfortable. But since I'm clumsy and spill a lot I have to switch things up and wear other things. It is my lot in life to have an entire wardrobe of stylish things that essential feel like pajamas. This skirt and this bodysuit both fit that need, as they're both made of incredible soft material. I've already expressed my love for stripes for fall but combine that with dark jewel tones and I am happy as pie.

The Wasp

Good Morning loves! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, mine was so good but SO busy. I had the blog sale which went fantastically and was so much fun all day Saturday, then ran 5k for the terry fox Sunday morning followed by hitting the books. Busy weekends are fun but I'm feeling a bit under the weather now. My body isn't used to this go-go-go yet, more sleep, tea and vitamins!

Stripes are without a doubt one of my favourite go-to's for fall and winter. This dress fits my yearning for stripes perfectly, I love the different width of the stripes as well as the different directions they take. I added my spiked denim vest for a bit of layering (even though it's still strangely warm for this time of year) and my other fall obsession, my mustard bag. Nothing like mustard and stripes in the fall, amiright?!

Can't Stop Moving

I have had an obsession with tulle skirts for a while now but just haven't been able to land my hands on my dream one (except, ironically enough, in a dream...) but this one I got to borrow from the lovely Ashley is amazing. I love that it's not a typical tulle skirt because of the bright blue and it's the perfect length. I paired it with my striped bodysuit and adored this combination. This is the kind of skirt you can't help but swirl and twirl in because it has such a fantastic texture.

Neon Fever

Good Morning and a very happy Friday to you all!! This weekend is a long weekend and I couldn't be more pleased. I work saturday but then it's a girls night out followed by spending Sunday and Monday recharging out at the lake. I definitely will need the rest because I start school on tuesday, ahh, excitment!

This outfit was perfect for one of the hotter days we experienced this week, had to get some wear out of this crop top while it's still hot enough to do so! This skirt is a fairly old but reliable piece, I think it's running on 4 years now and I still find new ways to wear it. Stripes are always such a classic print, and the perfect backdrop to experiment with neon and colourful accessories!

Good Morning!! I love doing remix posts because it's so interesting to see how my style/hair has changed, yet still works with certain pieces. I've had this romper for 2 1/2 years, and went back and forth from being in my "for sale" pile back to my closet a few times. I didn't wear it at all last summer and usually at that point it's time to give something up. But I'm really glad I kept it, it works perfectly on it's own for scorching hot days and layers under a skirt so well! I love when something you've held onto for far too long works it's way back into rotation.

To The Max

Good Morning my loves!! I hope your short week is coming along nicely, Canada Day on Monday and in the states tomorrow is Independence Day!! Holidays all around! Short weeks are so much better than longer weeks, of course. 

It's awesome how having a fashion blog pushes you out of your comfort zone and causes you to try new things. I have never owned a maxi dress or skirt, but I've always wanted one, and now I finally took the plunge! I fell in love with this one from Loft 82, the colour is amazing and the fact that it's half lined. Mustard and stripes are one of my favorite combinations, this striped onesie went perfect with my brand new maxi.
