Bundled Up

Good Morning my loves, it's gone from being +1 to -20 yet again here in the great white north. It's unfortunate but that tends to happen here quite a bit, and you have to enjoy the good while you've got it. Layering is a key component to living in this ridiculous winter wonderland.

This outfit is essentially my go-to colour palette these past few months, I can't seem to get enough of this combination. And ya know what? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This dress is a recent rediscovery during a cleanse of my closet and it's a wonderful piece to layer with a sweater, jacket and giant scarf that doubles as a blanket. Ever since last year I've become more obsessed with watches than ever before and was more than happy to expand my colour with this bracelet watch from Born Pretty. I love the way it wraps around and the studded details.

Deep Freeze

Good Morning loves, I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was a pretty good mixture of hanging out and homework. I am really looking forward to Christmas and Christmas break, I need some time to relax that's for sure.  And it definitely feels like Christmas with all the snow we've had!

Last week when we entered the deep freeze it not only tested my patience, but my layering skills as well. My love for maxi's has transitioned well into winter, they're the perfect thing when the weather gets really cold, with an added layer of tights. This cozy heart print sweater lends itself perfectly to being worn over dresses and layered under a coat. While winter may be awful, it's a fun time to get creative to keep warm :)

Good morning, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. We received a huge dump of snow on Friday night/Saturday morning which ended up giving me a much more relaxing weekend than I had expected. Which happened to be just what I needed. Sometimes old man winter's got your back!

Now that it's dipped into really negative temps here in the great white north I am all about layering up with cozy sweaters and scarfs. This sweater is the perfect piece to throw over a cute dress and layer up. This dress has been a great summer piece for a couple seasons and it was fun to rework for winter with the berry coloured scarf and black sweater.

Keep Yourself Warm

 

Good Morning, and a very happy Wednesday to you. It's been bitterly cold here the last few days and it's pretty much official that old man winter has arrived. I suppose I can't complain too much because we had such a gorgeous fall here.

I am definitely reaching for more sweaters and layers now that the chill has set in, and this heart printed one I got from Vickie is the perfect cozy piece to throw over a skirt or dress. Swapping out flats for boots and adding my denim jacket over top of this sweater helps beat the cold. My go to colour combination these days seems to be grey, black and maroon. And my love affair with neon's  from this summer has transitioned into fall in a much more subtle way with this necklace. Although I am missing my visually offensive purse...Going to have to get that baby out again ;)

Spring Layers

Hey There Daarrrrlings, I hope your week is going good! Mine has been pretty stressful, that stuff with Duke last week was pretty rough for me but he's tough as nails (like me!) and is feeling better already. Luckily it's hump day, and the week is downhill to the weekend from here, which is exciting because it's my brothers grad!! I am a super proud big sister.

I love layering but find it so much harder in the summer than winter for the obvious reasons of overheating. I can overheat easily and am an incredibly grumpy person when I'm uncomfortable, so I have to find different ways to layer. This vest has quickly become the perfect thing to let me layer in the heat without overheating! I found this vintage skirt last winter and fell in love with the pattern and pleating on it. I had to get it hemmed but now it's a great length and is a perfectly funky pattern for spring/summer
