Sugar and Spice

For some reason I don't often wear pink, I don't really know if it's "my colour". At least not bright shades like this one. However, when I found this dress I could not not get it. The heart print, and the fact that it has an open back made it a no brainer for me. I'm glad I did because it has always come through for me over the years.

This cropped sweater has also been an invaluable addition to my wardrobe recently. It's really cozy and is the perfect thing to throw over top of a summer dress to make it more winter weather appropriate. And adding studded accessories is my favourite way to take a sweet piece and make it a little tougher

Stick Around

The day I realized you could put tees or shirts overtop of dresses and make them look like separates was the day my wardrobe grew 2x. It's genius and such a simple way to get more use out of your items! I am all about getting millage out of all my pieces.

  Take this dress for example, this baby has been rocking out in my closet since '11. It's a babydoll style dress that actually on it's own does not do anything for me, but when paired with other pieces I love it. I think it helps that the colours and subtle floral print lend itself to be mixed well. It's managed to hang on through all the purges of my closet, I think that has something to do with the fact that it's chiffon and feels lighter than air.

Ice Princess

 

Good Morning my loves! I hope everyone had a spectacular weekend and are ready for the week ahead. It's hard to believe that Christmas is literally right around the corner! I've done most of my shopping, and am ready for the holiday parties to start now that I've finished my exams.

All summer long I was obsessed with my floral headcrowns and when I saw it laying forlorn on my bedroom floor I knew it was time to bust it out again. Who said floral's are just for summer?! There's something about a floral headcrown that just makes me feel awesome and ready to frolic. Unfortunately this time around I was frolicking through 2 feet of snow, but beggars can't be choosers. This outfit is essentially all my favourite things from summer remixed floral headcrowns, this sheer crop top and the comfiest maxi dress ever. It's funny how things can work so easily from summer to winter if you layer.

Also, don't worry, I wasn't freezing, it warmed up to above zero this weekend. It's crazy what a change of 20 degrees will do.

Pumping Blood

Good Morning loves, I hope you all had an excellent weekend. Mine was really good, I was able to get some studying done, and even go out a bit! It's really important to balance both, I get a little crazy if I'm just doing school/studying all the time. All work, no play makes Jenna a dull girl...

It's no secret I have a serious affection for the colour red (in fact I'm adding more to my hair just in time for Christmas) so it surprises me I don't have more of it in my wardrobe. But the couple pieces I do have I absolutely love, like this dress. It's a bit on the dressier side, so I don't get to wear it nearly as much as I'd like. This beige lace crop top is also another piece I really like, it's perfect to pair with a skirt or layer over a dress. I've also taken to pairing my heart pendant with my Weekend Society key necklace. Keeping my heart under lock and key you could say ;)

Hey there! This remix is of my favourite piece I picked up this summer, this vintage lace crop top has been such a valuable addition to my wardrobe. It literally goes with everything, not only is it perfect with skirts but throwing it overtop of dresses is the best way to get a little extra mileage out of them. This piece ignited my love affair with crop tops, I had never owned one before this, but I must say I'm hooked now. Such a versatile piece of clothing!

Working With What I Got

Greetings from under the weather county over here. This sinus cold kicked my butt the first couple days this week, holy cow. And let me just state for the record, I am a giant baby when I'm sick, so sorry for everyone who had to interact with me. Thankfully I feel I'm on the upswing today, I no longer sound like a man so that's probably a good thing.
If it's one thing I love about fashion and blogging, it's coming up with different ways to rework my wardrobe. I am not a millionaire (hell, I'm not even a thousandaire) so being able to wear pieces multiple times is pretty important to me. Which is probably why I am ever so found of my crop tops, they work perfectly with skirts and work wonders when you throw them over a dress. This dress has been such a great piece for me this summer and I'm happy to see it transitioning into the fall as well.

Tangerine Dream

Good Morning my loves!! I hope your short week is coming along nicely. A short week is ALWAYS better than a normal length one in my mind. Not only is it the first week of September which is crazy, but yesterday was back to school. It went smoothly, and I am even more excited for everything now!!
This lace crop top is one of my favourite purchases from the summer, it honestly goes with everything. It's the perfect thing to just throw on over a dress or with a skirt. This bright orange one is such a great colour and oh so comfortable. It's perfect for fall as well, even though it's so hot it doesn't feel like fall yet. Not that I'm complaining ;)

Good Morning and another remix for you!! This skirt is one of my favourite New York purchases because we the day I got it we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and wandered through Brooklyn especially to check out Beacon's Closet. And it was absolutely worth the walk, not only was the view from the Brooklyn Bridge amazing but Beacon's Closet was stacked and packed with amazing pieces! Such gorgeous second hand stuff like this skirt which is J Crew and  I could not resist such a great colour! It's a size or two too big but I just pin it and belt it, so it works perfectly. It's perfect with pattern, and the bright orange is surprisingly versatile for every season! I love having pieces that have such wonderful memories attached to them, don't you??

Good Morning my dears!! I hope your week is coming along very well, it's hump day! Got to make it through the day then it's all down hill towards the weekend. This is something that I wore out to grab some treats from Duchess bakery with the lovely Vickie, who was kind enough to take some photos for me.

I kind of match my back ground, which I really love. This look is a combination of my two summer obsessions, crop tops and maxi skirts! I'm also really feeling black, white and pops of colour lately too. It seems like lately I find something I like and that's all I want to wear for weeks on end. And of course, I've added some studded accessories
