Blush, Blush, Blush

It's really funny how I used to think red and pink didn't go together because this combination of blush and red is one of my favourites. My mind and heart are set on spring so I've decided to start gearing my wardrobe that way too, and this blush shade just screams spring to me.

 I love the way it looks with my red hair, which I am actually thinking about changing. I'm bored but I have no idea what to do next! Help!

Jackets are one of my favourite pieces to buy, because they're so versatile and can really change up any look. This simple grey tee actually has a giant sparkly heart on it but it does not seem to want to show up in photos, boo. But this clutch is perfectly appropriate for heart month with it's bright red colour and heart studs all over, I must say I am rather taken with it. It was a gift from my brother and his girlfriend, they know me quite well I think :D

Heart Day

Happy Heart Day all!! I hope you spend your day doing what you love surrounded by people you love, whether that be friends, family or a significant other. I'm not a big celebrator of Valentines day, but I love a good theme.

This has to be to date one of my favourite shoots, I wish I had time to make every outfit post this much fun but between being a full time student/working part time I barely have time to breath! Side note: While taking these pictures down an alley we totally interrupted a couple making out in their car, now that is perfect timing since these were for Valentines day.

I am so glad it's almost spring so I can bust out this gorgeous blush jacket again, I have such an obsession with that shade of pink. And I absolutely love mixing it with punches of red, whoever said pink and red don't go together have no idea what they're talking about! I think heart balloons might be my new go-to accessory ;)

Swan Song

Good Morning loves, I hope you had a fantastic week!! I am having a wonderful friday to kick off the weekend. I have the day off and am off to get a hair cut, nothing beats that does it? It's gorgeous here right now tempatures are going to be in the 20's (celcius) all weekend! It's crazy how it goes from winter to basically summer here.

I ordered this dress on sale off ASOS a few months ago and have no idea how it hasn't ended up on the blog yet!! It's covered in swans! It's the perfect faux wrap dress and I think it will be a great easy piece for the summer. I decided to pair it with a red lip, and of course my blush leather jacket. I decided to go overboard and do everything with animals, swan dress, bird skull necklace and bug ring! EVERYTHING with animals!

The Windy City

Good Morning Loves!! I hope your weekend was excellent, mine was pretty good, spent some time with some awesome friends, worked out and worked. In case you couldn't tell I really do like to keep myself busy, I hate sitting around with nothing to do. But every now and then one needs to rest and Saturday afternoon/evening after I worked out I decided I needed to give my body a break. I laid in my bed watching Community and it was exactly what I needed!
It has been unreasonably windy here all last week and this weekend, and I absolutely hate when it's windy, it makes it difficult to walk the pup and frustruating to take outfit pictures. Half the shots I took this day had my hair in my face or my skirt swirling up towards my waist. Not in a Marilyn Monroe way either. But we made due because I really loved this look. This dress is so perfect for spring/summer, no sleeves, polka dotted and with the perfect amount of fit n flare. Pairing black and white with blush seemed like a no brainer!

Oh and Mr.Duke is just too much of a cutie not to share, hope his adorable mug makes your monday a little better ;)

Blush on Blush

Hey there and greetings from Edmonton, where we are currently under a shit ton of snow, and that IS an accurate measurement I assure you. Of course all this happened yesterday...on my day off...so I got to shovel it! Whooo! Anyways, it's just a matter of time before old man winter goes away for good. I am SO excited to go to Vancouver next week.

These pictures evidently were taken before the massive of dump of snow yesterday, but as you can see we still had a significant amount of snow. I decided to be proactive and usher in the first day of "spring" wearing pastels. I am obsessed with blush and red together at the moment. I decided to "double dip" with the blush wearing a polka dot dress in the light pastel shade along with my faux leather jacket. I really liked the way it turned out with the black accessories and bright red lip/hair.

Young Folks

Good Morning dears! I hope your week is going better then mine, I feel like death! I went to the gym monday, had a great workout and then things went downhill. Ugh, being sick sucks. I suppose that's what I get for barely sleeping all weekend...it was definitely worth it though!

If you couldn't tell I'm a wee bit hungover in these photos, they were taken in Calgary while we waited for Brunch at the Blue Star Diner, which was ammmazing. Best veggie omlette I've ever had!! I had never really worn leggings up until a couple weeks ago, but I must say I see their appeal now, they're so comfortable! And I have a few tops that are too long and look awkward with pants so this works perfect. Layered with my sheer polka dot blouse and blush coloured leather jacket I was channeling spring even though it wasn't very springlike out.

Pale Pastels

Hey There loves, this short week has flown by, I spent all day yesterday thinking it was wednesday and was pleasantly surprised otherwise. This weekend is going to consist of watching the oilers, hopefully a night out with friends and I might get my little brother up out of bed sunday bright and early (to him also known as noon) and go to the star wars exhibit.

I, like almost every other Albertan and the majority of Canadian's is sick and tired of this winter. I am ready for spring, therefore I will start to dress like spring and then spring will come. This is my mentality every year, but even if it doesn't bring warm weather it definitely brightens my mood. This blush leather jacket sure is making me happy. I paired it with the striped shirt dress (which has pockets!!) and love the sublte stripes with it.

Hey There lovelies!! I hope your week is going quite nicely, even if it is only tuesday and we are quite far from the weekend still. It's Valentines day this week, and while I don't really give two hoots about Vday, I do love me a theme. And since this whole month is Heart Month to raise money for the heart and stroke foundation, I am super on trend for Valentines day ;)

As I mentioned yesterday I have been feeling ininspired with my wardrobe lately, so when I went shopping and spotted this blush faux leather jacket, it was the perfect thing to add some inspiration. I wear my black leather jacket ALL the time, so a blush version for spring is a welcome addition to my wardrobe! I absolutely love the colour and fit, and it's perfect with a bright red lip, and leopard print heart tee. And holy crap I'm wearing pants again, twice in one week?! Who am I?!
