Going Birdy

I really love the print on this dress, it's a bunch of different types of funny looking birds. I've had this dress forever it seems. I am unemployed at the moment and unable to buy new things so I'm constatly trying to rework the items I have. I do think this dress is a little long though, anything this length just makes me look super squished (ya know that whole being 5'3 thing). But the print!! The birds!!! I can't resist it every now and then. I tried to toughen up the look with zebra print tights and my studded short boots. I love this cardigan, the colour with the dress I feel are such good colours for fall. Match my surroundings. (as you can see, our snow has vanished!). I couldn't find my other belt so I just grabbed this braided one, I think it's my moms or something?

I have to say this week I've been feeling like I'm in a bit of a fashion slump (& last week I was feeling fantastic. Huh funny how that works) It's really frustrating, but I'm so busy I feel like I want to curl up in the corner and hibernate...but I can't. Theres too much to do! I feel like I need an extra few hours every day to balance the things I want to do and the things I have to do. This is the balancing act of life isn't it? Everyone has this complaint sometimes don't they? Sigh.

I would like to feel a little more inspiration coming from my own closet though. Sometimes I have such great ideas and go crazy throwing together outfits, it's so much fun. And then some days I feel like theres no way I could put together something I like!

However, there are amazing blogs and chictopians out there for me to be inspired by and I will keep doing that until my lightbulbs come back on
