Can't buy me love

Photobucket
So this was kind of a last minute outfit......I'm the type of person that likes to have her outfits planned a few days in advance (a) because in the morning I am a zombie who can't put clothes together (b) to ensure everything is clean!!
Well before I went to bed last night I looked at what I had "planned" to wear and realized I hated it. It was one of my old skirts from before my surgeries (-for a refresher)that no longer fits. I thought I could make it work, but it really is too large. I lost over 15 lbs after those surgeries (& I didn't have any weight to loose). Im obviously at a much healthier weight now though :)

This is what I ended up putting together to wear to school and I am really happy with it actually. This is one of my favorite sweaters, I always feel really feminine in it, it must be the soft pink colour. And I absolutly adore anything leopard print so this skirt is one of my favorites. I grabbed my white tshirt and belted this with my studded belt and voila! An outfit! I really like this outfit too, its comfortable and was warm. I love the pink cardigan with the studded belt, something about that just looks good to me. I love this outfit. This ring was one of my online purches from forever 21, I rarely wear gold jewellery but I couldn't say no to this! A leopard?! Amazing, and he happened to go quite nicely with my skirt.

I had to run inside to warm up while I was taking these pictures and I was only outfit for about 10 minutes in total!! I think I probably looked rather ridiculous running about, but then again I usually do when taking these photos.
Happy American Thanksgiving to all of you celebrating! And a happy thursday to all us poor folk not getting turkey tomorrow ;)

The lighting is quite worse in this one, but its the only one where I didn't look like a grump!! Like most, I feel when I don't smile I look angry....or constipated. Same thing?

  1. Jenna, I had no idea you had to go through all that. You're a really strong person and you can still wear a bikini because everyone will be distracted starting at your amazing hair and gorgeous face! :)

I love this outfit, and I plan too and then sometimes I'm like WHAT?! I do not feel like wearing that! I usually don't end up looking as nice as you do here though when I have to do it last minute.

Oh and way to go still dressing so cute in that cold snow!!

  4. My goodness, those surgeries sound like a terrifying experience. Glad to hear that you made it out okay :) And never worry about wearing a bikini... that scar is proof that you went through something very hard and came out the other side, stronger than before :)

Love this look, especially your sweater... I'm a total outfit planner and I know how much it throws me off to wake up in the morning and realise I hate what I was going to wear. But the results in your care are lovely!

  5. I definatly show off my "battle wounds" as I like to refer to them with pride! I do feel like I can take on pretty much anything now

Thank you! I am so glad I'm not the only outfit planner out there, i like things like that organized or else it would take me a million hours to choose an outfit

  7. You know I love this outfit! and I adore your voluminous shiny shiny hair! :D

Usually my guy understands my weird fashion habits, but he prefers the whole powerdressing thing on women over girly dresses. He would love to see me in a suit, and I'm such a dress loving girl! :D

  8. Thank you!!
Thats really funny that he prefers you in a suit! You dont seem like a suit type of girl! My guy understands mens fashion, and some female fashion but just has different opinions then me sometimes

  9. I'm an outfit planner, too! This is a seriously amazing outfit that's all the more impressive because you did it on the fly.

Sounds like you're having to go through a lot, but you have such an inspiring and resilient attitude about it all. Wow.

  12. LOVE this outfit, you look adorable! And that ring is amazing... I wish they had cute jewelry like that in store, but it seems like all the best pieces are online... anyway, great score!
