Good Morning m'loves, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!! Mine was great, I went out a bit, relaxed a lot and spent a wonderful Sunday with some of my best friends taking in some of the films at the Edmonton International Film Festival, which were all amazing.
I wore this for the fashion show on Wednesday evening, I knew I had to wear this Maxi I bought from Decadence before the weather got too cold to show off it's fantastic back. I fell in love with it months ago but finally decided to give in and get it, the combination of the low back, the pockets and the fact that it's comfortable was my bliss point.
As I get older I definitely am more accepting of my body, and this dress makes me really happy to be small chested. I can get away with so many more things than my big chested friends; sorry ladies ;)
Also, this sun setting earlier and earlier thing is getting on my nerves...

Ugh, you have no idea how often I curse my ample chest (that sounds weird) - I totally can't get away with backless things like that...and I'm envious of how awesome it looks on you.

I feel like there are fashion pros and cons to every body type (except for plus size, which just sucks 'cause it's more expensive and harder to find cute clothes). I'm flat-chested, so I'm also in the backless camp, but I can't wear most v-neck dresses (or shirts). They just don't fit right--especially the dresses. But my mom is busty as all get out--like gives-her-back-problems busty--and she rocks a v-neck!
DeleteThere are definitely pros and cons to all body shapes i agree. I am just embracing being a small chested lady and it's benefits. I used to be SO envious of the well endowed.
DeleteLooks amazing- also (with the help of heels, I guess) makes you look so tall!
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous and glamourous.
Okay you look so sincerely happy and pretty in that first snap Jenna! I love the black maxi and just got one of my own recently that will be up on the blog later this week! I TOTALLY can relate to the small chested sentiment, I can wear super low cut things without them being the least bit scandalous!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a wonderful day!

Thank's lady!! I was having a good time taking these pictures with the lovely vickie :)
DeleteIt's awesome to be able to wear things without looking scandalous!
That dress is HOOOOOOOOT!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vickie, that dress is hot! I love the blazer you paired with it, too!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is gorgeous! I've always wanted to be smaller chested, I seriously hate having to wear bras ALL THE TIME. I love that you're so comfortable within your own skin :)

Thank ya darling!!
DeleteI can imagine it's a pain, but it has it's benefits. Like feeding your baby!!
Haha it's so true about being small chested :) I mean... imagine running with those things! Or having to sleep in a bra... I had a really large chested friend who couldn't sleep without her bra on or they ached from no support. Plus, we have nothing to sag when we get old! Lol Anyway, I love this dress! It's so pretty dressed up like this and I bet it would be super cute dressed down too! And I LOVE that clutch.

My best friend when I was in jr/high school had enormous bossoms, and she had the worst back pain so I'm pretty happy with living without that
DeleteThank ya!! This dress was such a good investment, I may be wearing it as I type this..
you look fabulous! Love the back detail!

I love this outfit and I can see how it worked well for the film festival. As a large chested girl, I always look at dresses like this and WISH I could pull it off...but, I have to wear a bra with everything. *le sigh*
ReplyDeleteRandom question though. I recently added more red into my hair (done at a salon) and a week later, I feel like it's almost completely washed out and I don't wash my hair that much. How do you keep yours so vibrant like that?

I have to bleach it first, and i probably touch it up every 2-21/2 weeks :)
DeleteThis maxi fits you perfectly! I love the back!

Yep, I could not wear that dress. It would be a nightmare for my bosom, haha. I love the back to this, though, and it's a winner. The combo is good, too. I love that clutch, by the way!
ReplyDeletesexay! i love open backs...even more amazing paired with that leopard blazer!!
