Good Morning my loves!! I hope your short week is coming along nicely, Canada Day on Monday and in the states tomorrow is Independence Day!! Holidays all around! Short weeks are so much better than longer weeks, of course.
It's awesome how having a fashion blog pushes you out of your comfort zone and causes you to try new things. I have never owned a maxi dress or skirt, but I've always wanted one, and now I finally took the plunge! I fell in love with this one from Loft 82, the colour is amazing and the fact that it's half lined. Mustard and stripes are one of my favorite combinations, this striped onesie went perfect with my brand new maxi.

That skirt is really gorgeous - I love it! It's been a few months since I've ventured into Loft 82 and I clearly need to get in there.

Holy crap, this skirt is gorgeous! The color and the pleats are just lovely. You need to wear this all the time. I love how you dressed it down with a striped shirt!

This is definitely my favourite place to take pictures, unfortunately it's right off a VERY popular walking path and my tripod and i garner many a strange look
Deletegood for you for trying something new! You look great! I totally agree that a blog has opened me up to trying new things or reconsidering other things. hehe.

This skirt is perfect. I love that it's shorter underneath. So pretty. Also it's the perfect color for you. Canada Day sounds way more exciting than the fourth of july!
ReplyDeleteHey girl! Thanks for coming by my blog and for your sweet comment! I am totally driven to wear new crazy things since I've started blogging. I still haven't added a maxi to my closet, but I'm dying to! I'm a little worried because I'm so short, but I've heard they are suupper comfy. I love the mustard/stripey combo here! And your yellow nails!
ReplyDeleteperfectly priya
Thank you very much!!
DeleteI'm 5'2 so if I can rock em so can you ;)
Ahhhhh I love this maxi on you! The color is perfect and that half lining makes it extra cute. I'm also digging the purple/red in your hair. But you hair always rocks!

ReplyDeleteI love your skirt, but the way you've combined it is really cool!
Love the ring too btw.
That skirt is too cute, and I love how you styled it with the stripes... Looking good, sugar! xx
ReplyDeleteYou're too sweet :)
DeleteI haven't had a maxi for years - I kept tripping and skinning my knees/ripping the hems. But this one looks like the perfect length and the half-lined detail is so pretty! I love how even though you're out of your comfort zone in this look, you styled it in a way that is completely you :)

Thank you!!
DeleteI was so worried that I was going to find one that was too long and trip and die. I am notoriously clumsy so I'm glad this one is the perfect length!!
It's definitely one of my favourites too!! I've worn this skirt 3 times since I took these pictures last week, guess I should have tried a maxi years ago!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're punny ;)

I'm always scared to try maxi skirts because of my epic shortness. I love this one on you! I think the half sheer detail makes it particularly awesome. Your striped top is great with it too!
ReplyDeleteGirl, I'm epicly short too, 5'2! And I don't wear heels often!
DeleteWell this outfit just has all the things I love best in the world of fashion- mustard, maxi skirts, flowy chiffon, stripes! Heaven!
ReplyDeletenice way to step out of your comfort zone...the maxi is such a great color and seems to make those b/w stripes pop!!
