Back Alley Misadventures

Hey There! I hope your weekend was as good as mine :)
So I decided to take some photos while I was in downtown Edmonton after having lunch with a friend. So I drove around looking for a location and settled on this alley because I liked the wall. So I set up my tripod and start shooting, then there's some middle aged construction workers smoking and watching me. They then inform me that there are used needles all over the place where I'm taking pictures. And there are in fact, piles of used needles. What a great spot to take photos...I do hope you appreciate the results of that weird adventure.
This gingham dress is easily one of my summer favourites, so comfortable, has pockets and works with everything. I love the combination of black/white/mustard so this outfit was a no-brainer. I really do love the simplicity that goes into summer dressing, for me the way to spice up any summer dress is just with loads of accessories, and funky nail polish.

  4. How did you manage to find ANOTHER adorable gingham dress? So much jealousy here. This one looks just as cute on you and I love the mustard with it. And what's a photo shoot without some used needles laying around? ;)

  8. I like the wall and so appreciate the results of your weird adventures haha! I HATE when people can see me with my tripod, even my "country" photos are right on the side of the road in my recent post and I would pretend I was taking scenery pictures whenever cars passed haha! I say you should TOTALLY bring your tripod into the country on your next day off. Way less chance of needles :)

  10. Love the gingham dress and I like the wall, too ; ) I could never take pics in front of construction workers, I actually can't stand it when anyone's around watching me while I'm having outfit photos taken(I'm too shy/embarrassed) so kudos to you for just going for it!

  11. This dress is so wonderful and perfect for summer. And alleys are infamous for being gross and full of needles, right? I mean, that's the standard in America.
