Hey there doll's I hope you're having a wonderful week!! Mine has been pretty fantastic, I'm back in classes, the weather's been gorgeous and the grass is starting to turn green.
So, my neighbors must think I'm insane and I have the feeling they refer to me as "that girl that takes photos of herself" because I was in the empty lot by my house, by myself with my tripod and bicycle taking these photos yesterday and everyone in the neighborhood saw...I hope you all appreciate the lengths we go to for our blogs, haha.
I have missed riding my bicycle soo much these past 7 months, it's a lovely creation made for me by my two best friends Janelle & Jason. They found this rusted old thing in a shed and redid it just for me! They're kind of the best ever. I decided that this Gingham dress from Eshakti was the perfect thing to wear while cruising, it has pockets! There's also something about gingham just seems so summery to me and it's a little retro just like my bike. And I happen to be wearing eskimos colours (Green and Gold for life!)

Ps. I got more red and some purple in my hair, definitely diggin' it for summer.

I always still feel awkward doing photos in public...still. Of course it doesn't stop me. And these photos of you and your bike are really awesome - can't wait to get mine out of storage for the summer.

Yeah i feel super awkward about it most times too, I had my iphone blasting music so I was jamming out and that helped.
DeleteHeck yes bicycles!
I love that last picture of you :) You're so cute all the time!

That dress is perfect on you. I ride my bike too and though I ride year round, I definitely like spring the best. It's just so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYes, that is a perfect bike riding outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love that bike!!! And can't wait for the warm weather!
ReplyDeleteI love your bike! I haven't had one for years - I'd definitely get hit by a car riding in Vancouver, and I have a feeling I'd use it more as an accessory than for actually riding, anyway; yours looks so cute in these photos! And how special that your friends redid it for you, I love the little details they added like the lace on the seat! As for taking photos, I'm so with you... the lengths we go to for our blogs! I think I must show up in so many travel videos and photos because here people actually stop to take my picture when we're taking photos, thinking I'm... I don't even know. I'm 5'2". They can't possibly thinking I'm a model :P

Hahaha that's so funny, yeah sometimes people here stop and watch. It's so uncomfortable, clearly I'm no model but stopping to watch is weird!

Love the combination of your dress with the studded belt! Oh how I wish I had a bike, the weather has been nice out lately and it would be fun to ride around.

So, a few things. First, when I saw this picture on your FB I thought of Freddy Mercury before I knew the title of your post lol. I love that song! I also love this dress. I need to get an Eshakti dress of my own! You hair is looking pretty amazing. I love the addition of the purple (obviously). I hope you have a great weekend girl ♥

Dude, is it just me or do bicycles automatically make any picture so much more epic? Ever since my trip to Miami I realized how much I miss riding a bike too and now I'm tempted to invest in one. I'm still pretty intimidated by the NYC traffic though.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving the extra colors in your hair!! I hope you're having an awesome weekend. :)

The whole taking photos in public thing is what freaks me out about blogging! If you check out my blog, it's obvious that I'm pretty inexperienced at this point, but I always wonder how others do it.
ReplyDeleteI've taken some shots in the backyard with my tripod, but haven't yet ventured far past that. Maybe this is the week...so we'll see what the neighbours think :)

You look so absolutely perfect for summer. I adore that dress so much! Also, how sweet is that bike? Even more so since some friends found it and fixed it all up for you. Great memories are surely attached to that bike.
ReplyDeleteHow freaking cute can you get?! I absolutely love the bicycle! Can't believe your friends fixed it up for you, it looks incredible! That gingham dress is darling too! I haven't met a gingham piece I liked as much as this one. Definitely retro and adorable for riding your bike around :)
