Simons

Simons 8th location officially opened on October 31st but the evening before I got a chance to walk through and see it before the massive crowds. Simons is a family run business that has flourished over the last 170 years growing to this 8th location, which is the first one in western Canada. What struck me most during the tour was how dedicated the Simons brothers are to creating a business of quality, and how evident their passion for architecture is in this building. It's not just another store, it is unique in design, set up and is very beautiful. I especially appreciated that they said they decided to come to Edmonton because they saw a market that had been underestimated, and I believe that's true of the fashion community in Edmonton. There are so many creative and talented people in Edmonton, it's nice to have an outside perspective actually seeing that.

 I am really excited about having this in Edmonton, they have their in house brands, and designer names, as well as price points for everyone's budget. The accessories department particularly blew my mind, they had every colour, pattern, or texture of tights imaginable! I already know I'm going to get lost in the accessories section, and want one of everything. In this 100,000 square foot store they have women's clothes, lingerie, active wear, men's clothing, accessories for both, and some house wares (like pillows, sheets etc).

The outhouses are actually men's change rooms!!

Oh they also have this angry French Bulldog sweater. I'm in love!
