Party Time, Excellent

Photobucket
Why hello there!! I finished my finals monday and went out celebrating and had a bit too much to drink. So yesterday I was pretty worse for wear haha, that final pint put me over! But I am getting so excited for Christmas in 5 days, my older brother is home and it's exciting :)
This is my outfit from the Christmas party saturday night. I made an extreme effort not to purchase anything new for this year. I usually do and then it's something I rarely end up wearing again and I don't want clothes that I can only wear once a year. I need things that are versatile! I ended up choosing my ruffly gold skirt which I of course love. I wore my backless onesie again, showing off the ol' battle wound. It was such a fun night, I love the big gatherings we always have. And my secret santa got me a beautiful necklace(pictures at the end)
ps. Sorry the awkwardness of bathroom photos, it was dark out!

  2. Sorry about the hangover but a stiff drink (or 10) is always in order when the term ends! And I love your party outfit - that AA bodysuit is fantastic!

  3. at least your bathroom is cute! Although I'm not typically a fan of tiered ruffles I adore the wave-like texture of this skirt. The color is lovely as well. Oh and that necklace, so amazing. Your secret santa did an incredible job.

  4. lovely holiday outfit! that skirt is always great. i got my christmas dress at goodwill for $5, so i think that's reasonable ;) although i do have this tiered red dress from h&m that i really want to wear on nye with my new gold heels but the party i'm going to will probably be pretty casual... i hate it when i buy fun festive clothes and have nowhere to wear them!

  5. I can totally see you getting some seriously mileage out of that skirt, that's for sure. And I love the whole look--you have me wondering if I need a backless onesie in my life, now...

  8. This is such a great going-out outfit! I love the polka dot tights, your ruffled skirt, and that awesome backless body suit. I really like how the top shows off your cool scar. I'd never have thought of pairing yellow with those tights either so thanks for the idea!

  11. You look so beautiful! I adore the skirt with the backless onesie. It's ok, we all have a little too much sometimes - it's acceptable, especially when you've been working so hard! xx

  12. Ooh so pretty darling!! I love the combo of the backless onesie with the ruffled skirt! I have been the same way this whole year...really only purchasing stuff I need or secondhand. It's unbelievable the $ you save in doing so. Gorgeous as always!!

  15. LOVE your outfit (of course...) and your new necklace is adorable. Your friend did a great job picking it out. Good job on creating a cute party outfit from stuff you already own. I have a wedding in February and I'm already thinking, "OOOH! That means I get to buy a new dress!" but I'm not going to. No. I'm going to make something work that I already own. And I'm going to like it, goddamnit.
