Mad About Plaid

Photobucket
Hello my dears! I am so glad to have gotten such wonderful feedback on my last two posts, this is such a great community and I have such amazing followers/blog friends. You're a great bunch ;) I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.
As soon as it snowed I felt like all I want to wear is plaid (especially this green plaid, perhaps with red when I'm feeling christmassy). I have always been a fan of plaid, maybe it's a Canadian thing? It feels like a staple here, haha. I paired this top with my ruffled black dress to balance out the "masculinity" of the plaid. I love mixing typically masculine pieces with more feminine ones and this outfit felt like a great balance. And the bits of orange was a nice bright pop to contrast.

  2. Plaid and polka dots!! This outfit is too cute for words. I am really loving how you took such a casual piece like the flannel shirt and really dolled it up. I need to get better at doing stuff like this. The little pop of red in the belt is really the icing on the cake:) Such a great Christmasy inspired outfit.

  10. Oooh Jenna I totally share your love for plaid (you know I do)! :)
I have stocked up on plaid pieces, can't wait to wear them soon. I think it's because of the cold season and because plaid is somehow associates with coziness?!
Anyway, I love the outfit you put together, the lovely mix of plaid and polkadots. And how amazing is this neon orange nail polish? So cool!

In other news, I apologize for not being around lately. I didn't realize school had eaten so much of my life. It snuck up on me!

  20. Love! Reminds me of an outfit I posted not too long ago. I'm a sucker for plaid, too. I think it must be more of a Canada/northern U.S. thing. I've been to Florida a few times and not too many people wear plaid down there. :D

  23. That plaid shirt is so cute worn like a little jacket over your dress. The mix of the plaid with polka dots is really fantastic too! I'll have to try that sometime.
