It occurred to me over Christmas when my dad bought me that amazing plaid scarf that I do not own nearly enough plaid. I quickly righted that with a trip to the sale section at Zara where I fell in love with this plaid chiffon number. I have to say chiffon is one of my favourite fabrics, I am all about comfort these days and it's perfect for style as well as comfort.
I decided to add my blazer and heeled booties to dress it up a bit for a fancier day. I spend so much of my days in athletic wear that I can't pass up an opportunity to put on something a bit more spiffy. A pop of colour, a few punky accessories and I'm set ;)

I love plaid but this plaid... is a grown up plaid. It is a plaid that drinks a bottle of wine after dinner and can talk about that wine's boquet. Love it.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I love that dress! I'm so mad that I didn't see it on a recent Zara trip...

i feel like red plaid is one of those things that you can keep buying because no two are really the same. very cute!
ReplyDeleteI always loved this dress at Zara, it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteLove this dress! You can NEVER have enough plaid, but it's a unique find in a dress.
ReplyDeleteBased on your blog, it's hard to believe you spend much of your time in athletic gear. Do you find having this blog forces you to dress up a little bit more than you otherwise would?

I love this look and the pop of color with your clutch! Also, way to get out in the snow and take your pictures, I'm hiding indoors because I'm a baby!

I agree I've been digging plaid lately as well - and I own almost none. A plaid dress is something I'd really like to acquire this year. Yours is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAlso totally loving that necklace! :D
