Good Morning Lovelies in Blogland, I hope your week is coming along nicely. I am sitting here on a very frosty wednesday morning (-16 degrees celcius) wishing I was still in rainy Vancouver. The snow is beautiful, and it's lovely to see sunshine, but the one thing I can't stant is cold. Oh well, guess I'll throw on 3 more sweaters and 2 more scarves and walk the dog.
I have such an obsession with backless/low back dresses and tops, I think it's way sexier than showing off cleavage. And I have to say since I got my (gnarly) back scar I love showing off my back even more. I have been wanted a red velvet dress for years now, never seeming to find the right one, colourwise or at my price point. When I saw this baby at Simons I knew this was it. It's like wearing cozy pj's covered in red wine....that last statement doesn't make much sense, but carry on.
When we hit up the Revolver Coffee shop in Gastown I spotted the awesome graffiti down the back alley and knew we had to get some shots back there. A crushed velvet dress, studded boots and back alley photography? Doesn't get more grunge than that

It was soo good, there are so many awesome coffee shops there! Thank you!!
DeleteThat dress is perfect! I love the burgundy velvet - especially with your hair! It seems there snow everywhere in Canada except Toronto! But oh well, we'll be getting load soon (hopefully). Anyway, great shoot - I love venturing down old alley ways to check out all the graffiti! I do it all the time in Toronto, although it can get a bit sketchy.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

You can have ours!! And take the cold too while you're at it ;)
DeleteI am so in love with this dress! Low-cut back dresses are definitely my favorite, and I love the velvety texture! Looking gorgeous Jenna! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are rocking that velvet dress girl! I'm totally with you about the cleavage thing. I never ever wear anything that shows off "the girls", I'd feel so uncomfortable! Backs are waaaay sexier without looking trampy lol.
