Year In Review-2011

Year in Review. I'm really looking forward to 2012, but first I felt I should review 2011.
January: On January 4th I had surgery on my arm to replace my brachial artery, which got messed up in prior surgery. They took a vein from my leg and put it in my arm and after 4 months it becomes an artery. I spent the vast majority of January hanging around the house, reading and watching movies until I started work at Payless on the 24th. Photobucket
February: What a cold, bland, boring month. With chilling temperatures, loads of snow, all I wanted was for it to be March so I could go visit my brother in Victoria. Photobucket
March: My younger brother and I went to visit our older brother in Victoria for a week. We had an amazing time there, the weather was warm, we walked around, ate great food and took lots of pictures. I also got to meet a bunch of amazing Edmonton bloggers at fashion week, and am so grateful for that!

April: The weather roller coasted along one day melting snow with warm temperatures the next day dumping more snow on us with freezing temperatures. Ah the Edmonton life. My camera also committed suicide by jumping off its tripod onto the concrete...how sad! I got my long awaited letter for heart surgery after 4 months of waiting to hear about it. May: I got my camera back finally and just in time for the leaves to start coming out!! It was a pretty good month, working, BBQ's and mother's day! Nothing better than being able to go bare legged and sitting outside on my breaks Photobucket
June: Bryce turned the big ol' 22 at the beginning of this month and we had a nice little party for him. I spent the first part of the month back and forth through doctors' offices and trying to prepare for my open heart surgery on June 22nd. My surgery went really well and I couldn't be more grateful! They had to remove an entire rib but that's okay Photobucket
July: I spent most of this month in recovery mode, I had 6 weeks off from work. The first few weeks post surgery are always the worst, but by last couple weeks of July my brother and I were going on daily adventures and long walks.

August: I went back to work on the 8th and started cardiac rehabilitation at the Glen rose hospital, I love working out and this made me really happy. Then on the 20th I turned 22 years old! We had an 80's themed birthday party this year, and it was so much fun! I got a laptop from my wonderful family and at the very end of the month we adopted a baby dog! Photobucket
September: After 8 months away I went back to University and it felt sooo good. And I spent every moment of my free time cuddling my puppy dog! Also Western Canada's Fashion Week brought a lot of fun with fellow bloggers Photobucket Photobucket
October: Such a beautiful month, the leaves changed and I started really getting into the groove of things with University again. I made a rag doll wig for Halloween and that was so much fun Photobucket
November: One of the nicest November's we've had here in a while, barely any snow! Although school work started to really lay it on heavily it was a good busy month Photobucket
December: This month has been stressful and wonderful! Finals are always stressful but Christmas is always a wonderful reward for that. I have loved having my brother home and spending time with my family and friends

So 2011 was pretty rough, but I am excited to see what 2012 brings.
