Gingham and Grape

Photobucket
Hey everyone, hope your week is going well!  Mine has been pretty good thus far, I wish it was closer to the weekend though! Hump day though, downhill from here. I lost my visa yesterday, along with my make up case (worst) but luckily I was able to replace everything in there for only $45 and cancelled my visa super quick. So I will be without one for the next 2ish weeks. Which is for the best, my spending was getting a little ridiculous :P

This is what I wore Monday and I'm going to put it under the category "better in theory" although I'll definitely be wearing this checkered button up under dresses this winter but with this dress it bunched up kind of oddly (the dress is super thin material). Especially when I'd sit down, there was all sort of bunching in odd places. I do love the way the bright purple pops against the black and white though! I love both pieces separately and especially dresses that can go from day to night and summer to winter.

  1. Love the gingham with the solid purple! Cute outfit! Sorry to hear you lost your makeup case and Visa : ( I'm glad you were able to replace your makeup though and that no one went on a shopping spree with your credit card ; )

  3. The purple color looks really nice with your gingham top. I like how you made the dress fall appropriate

  5. Purple is definitely a colour for you, and the boldness alongside the gingham actually works rather well!

  7. Yes, I love the colours here too! But I agree on the bunching up issue, I hate it when clothing does that! Nevertheless you do look cute in this, you know how much I love checkered pieces! :)

  8. Love the gingham...esp in black and white, super cute. The bunches don't show in these pics...but I've def been there. There's nothing worse than a cute theory that is just plain uncomfortable in real wear.

  9. I love the idea of long sleeve tops under dresses but I can never manage to make the right combo! I love these colours you have together, but I can see how the bunching would get annoying ;) BTW I've wanted to comment on your outfits so many times but for some reason my laptop doesn't let me, so I will only be able to comment from work!! (frustrating!) Oh, and I was wanting to comment because so many of them were AWESOME!

  10. It's still a pretty cute combo, and the gingham shirt is such a great layering piece for fall.

  15. UGH! Losing a visa card is the worst! Sorry to hear that, but I am glad you were able to figure it out quickly. This outfit is REALLY cute, so it stinks that it doesn't really work for real life. But I know how that goes, I've definitely been there. At least you have the cute pieces so that you can try them in other ways :)
