So Much Puppy Love

It's the last day of August, can you believe it??! I can't...I'm so excited but nervous for school to start. I'm really looking forward to fall fashion, when I went shopping last thursday I bought tons of stripes, mustard coloured pieces and unique prints. I need to go again because theres a few things left for me to pick up.
This is what I wore sunday to go for lunch with Bryce down whyte ave, where we happened to run into Janice and Andrew!! I just got this top while shopping last week and love the stripes and loose fit, I decided to print mix it with my polka dot skirt. Because of course stripes and polka dots are awesome together!

When we were on whyte ave we came across the cutest french bulldog/boston terrier cross named "Frank" so when we went to eat we searched kijiji for a puppy one in edmonton area. I am soooo excited to introduce you guys to Duke, hes awesome. I am so in love with this little guy, it's ridiculous.

Everybody's Got a Hungry Heart

Hello there!! This is gunna be a quick post but I have some ridiculously exciting news, I got a french bulldog/boston terrier puppy yesterday!! So I plan on playing with him a bunch, don't worry I'll have plenty of puppy love pictures for you all in the next post :)
This is what I wore to go out for my birthday dinner last wednesday. I love this dress, and don't even know how it hasn't been on here yet, I know I've worn it multiple times!! I love the sweet floral print and thought the pink would go really well with my teal shoes, which are always my favourite when dressing up. They make me so tall!!!

Best of the week & Casual Sundays

This is what I decided to wear to a concert last night (blink 182, with rancid and against me). I definitely wanted something lightweight and comfortable. For a show like that skirts/dresses definitely aren't an option! It was suuuuch an awesome show too, I've been listening to Blink since I was 14 haha. This tshirt is super loose and lightweight, perfect to just thow on with some jeans, and after the concert we went for a drink, so glad I had my blazer because it had cooled down quite a bit.

Dots and Tribal

Hello dears, I hope all is well! I am feeling a bit better, and I'm pretty sure shopping will help with that. Stupid head colds + PMS, makes me grumpy. Although on tuesday since I had the day off I started watching Mad Men, and now I'm hooked, such wonderful costumes. But good god it makes me happy I wasn't alive during the 50's, the way the women were treated gets me mad. I feel so lucky that I, as a woman have so many options and am able to do what I want and have so much independence.
My favourite thing (if you couldn't already tell) is print mixing and I decided to mix two really summery prints. Polka dots and tribal print, and I love the way they mix together. Ive had this polka dotted sheer blouse for years now, and while I love the idea of it I always find myself annoyed with the sleeves when I put it on, Im not a big puffed sleeve person. I added a couple silver necklaces that I love and was off for a walk and going for lunch with my brother. I know these pictures arent the best in the world, it was just one of those days haha.

Zero Orchastra

Good morning!! I'm feeling a bit under the weather today, a bit of a cold. Nothing lots of tea, vitamens, spicy food and sleep can't fix though. Just a result of having too much fun this weekend, I think! I have today and tomorrow off, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm actually taking one of my friends back to school shopping before she has to move back to Prince George for school.
I bought this dress a few weeks/a month ago when I was out and about downtown Edmonton and it got really hot out and what I was wearing was too warm. I actually got it half off because the store was moving locations. Stripes are definitely something I'm looking for more of this fall (read obsessed with). This striped dress is something I can see becoming a favourite, the different directions of stripes, the fit, pockets, all the makings of a great dress. I kept it kind of simple yesterday, just having dinner at home but wanted to dress up a bit. I havn't worn these sandals in so long, I forgot how comfortable they are, and I can't say no to leopard print. And the beautiful pendant I got for christmas from one of my wonderful friends, finally found a chain that fits it!

Running Wild

Happy Friday my wonderful readers!! I hope you guys are gearing up for an excellent weekend, I know I am.....because....TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY! yaaay. The big 2-2, I am getting old. It's weird because sometimes I feel so young and sometimes I feel soo old, I think it's just a result of everything thats happened in the past 14 months. But, I am so thankful to be having a birthday! My brother and I are going to be making about 65-70 cupcakes today because I'm having people over for an 80s themed party tomorrow. Last year I made 90...and that was a little overkill.

So this is what I wore yesterday hanging out, going for lunch and eventually to work. I switched the denim jacket for a blazer and took off the scarf for work though (no denim rule is stupid). It was kind of chilly yesterday, I almost busted out tights but I resisted. I love this polka dot dress so much, it's so nice and lightweight. I really think a jacket finishes any look, this denim one is perfect for a day of running around. And the ombre effect on this scarf is so great, I just refound it in the back of my closet. So excited to encorporate it into my fall outfits. Ps. These are my new sparkly flats, they're so great
